He emphasized the importance of cherishing those memories and expressed deep regret about not spending more time with Windsor before his untimely passing.
In honor of his friend, Kovalev is a key organizer behind “Robin Windsor: The Final Act,” a tribute concert scheduled for November at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. This special event aims to celebrate Windsor’s life and support the mental health charity SANE, a cause that was very important to Windsor. Kovalev explained that the concert would highlight the joyful aspects of Windsor’s life, including his love for singing, dancing, and musical theatre. The tribute will feature hosts such as Anton Du Beke and Windsor’s former partner, Lisa Riley.
Kovalev’s bond with Windsor was forged during their time with Burn the Floor, where they traveled the world together, deepening their friendship. Their paths crossed again in 2011 when Kovalev joined the cast of Strictly Come Dancing.
